Ukrainian Bakery

Leaving behind the original Ukrainian Bakery in the town of Jitomir in the Ukraine, owner Oleksandr Koval and his family immigrated to Canada in 2001. In 2009, they opened again at the Crossroads Market.

For good old fashioned baked breads and buns, come to the Ukrainian Bakery. Five kinds of bread and buns from timeless Ukrainian recipes – Challa, Borodino, Marble Rye, Kolach and Country rye. We also make multigrain, whole wheat and nine kinds of rye bread. Hot from the oven fresh Ukrainian style pies and desserts, fruit turnovers, and fruit pies. You can also find cheesecake, crème brule, crepes and other desserts. Keep an eye out for other traditional Ukrainian desserts in the future—we plan to offer ponchiky, hrustiky and perohjky.
